Trip to Mussoorie - Dhanaulty - Rishikesh

Mussoorie: Mussoorie is well known as the Queen of Hills, this charming hill station is 34 kms from Dehradun at an altitude of 2003 mts above sea-level. Mussoorie is about 275 km from delhi and best weekend spot for delhi hites. There is lot to explore in mussoorie every time you went their. It is very beautiful and very famous in India and a most frequently visited place.The best time to visit Mussoorie is either between April and June or between September and November. Most famous places in mussoorie are Kempty fall, Buddha Temple, Mussoorie lake. There are some less explored but must visited places in mussoorie are Bhatta fall, Jharipani Fall, Mossy Fall.

Dhanaulti

Dhanaulti: Dhanolti is a beautiful place ,located at Mussoorie Chamba road covered by Pine, Cedar, and Rhododendron forest, weather is very good round the year. view of snow capped Himalayan peaks can be seen at a distance of 25 kms on Mussoorie Chamba Road. A peaceful place with very good people and a very less commercialized place. Few hotels are there for stay. You can trek to Surkanda Devi, Chandrabadni and Kunjapuri temples. You can also do trekking to nagtibba.

Rishikesh: Rishikesh is a very well known place in India for its deep cultural and spritual significance for Hindus. It is the base of many spots in Himalayas like Kedarnath, Badrinath , Yamnotri etc. But now it is also a "Capital of World Yoga". Rishikesh is also an "Adventure Capital of India" for trekking to himalaya peak, white river rafting, bunjee jumping, camping.

JOURNEY

We were in our final year of engineering and living in meerut city from where mussoorie is about 200km. It was a Thursday evening and electricity cuts in U.P is very popular for its timing, our laptops were almost dead. We genrally watch movie in this circumtances because the mall is about 2 minutes walking distance from our room. But we already watched the latest movie so we have no clues and its very hot there then we decided to go to mussoorie because we already been there and we know the weather of mussoorie. So we packed our bags in half an hour and after dinner we leave for dehradun.We took a bus at 11:00 pm and reached to dehradun around 4:00am but its very early and no public vehicle starts before 5am but we already knew this so we were with a plan. There is person who deliver news paper to mussoorie from dehradun we wait for him, after 15 minutes an ambassador is coming towards us and it stop and the driver came out and feeding to the roadside dogs. We asked to take us to the mussoorie he said ok then we left dehradun. We reached mussoorie at about 5am where we take a room which cost us about 300rs for 4 person which is not expensive.He said that he will give us only one room and you have to manage on your own for 4 person we said ok.

we sleep for about 3 hours and left the room at 9am. Then we book a taxi , first we went to Buddha Temple just because of the one person in our group never been to mussoorie and driver convinced him to visit there. We capture some moments at Buddha Temple.

After spending some time in Buddha Temple we left for the Kemptyfall where we enjoyed a lot we spend about 4 hour here and dint go anywhere else because its not an exam where we need to cover each chapter.

In the evening we return back to our room. We explore the mall road and did some shopping there and took a good night sleep. Some pics will define a bit about Kempty Fall.

Next day after having a light break fast we checkout from the hotel early in the morning and bought some beer cans then walk a little to bus stand from where we take a sharing cab to Dhanaulti which is again an amazing place but this time none of us had knowledge about dhanaulti so we start talking to locals who traveling with us in the cab. Then we know about dhanaulti and eco-park. After some kilometers cab stopped for 15 minutes but what the amazing place driver stopped the cab. The place is covered by clouds and we can feel them when they touch our face.

Now we are waiting to reach dhanaulti after hearing about it from the locals our excirtement become more. Finally we reached to the eco park of the dhanaulti we left our cab here.

# ECO Park

After the Ecopark we again hit the road walking on the road and exploring the place more without a goal because we decided to stay in dhanaulti.We visited some local places there and saw a stunning sunset.

Oh Forgot about the BEER CAN this is the special place !!! chal pite hain!!!

Now its a duche!!! Mar hi daloge....

Its a long way ahead!!! Bus ab aur nahi chala jata !!!

We had our dinner in dhanaulti and a big sleep because there is nothing to see in night like mussoorie. In the next morning we take a bus to chamba(uttrakhand) which take about 1 hour to reach chamba and from there again we take sharing jeep for rishikesh which was our third destination. We reached to rishikesh. Where we had our lunch at chotiwala restaurant.
