JOURNEY
This journey was not planned , we were going to our friends home in "Ranikhet" but we changed it towards "Chopta" just before two hours before leaving to Ranikhet. We gathered at ISBT(Kashmiri Gate) Delhi and took a bus towards rishikesh on saturday night. After the overnight journey we have reached to Rishikesh before 5 AM in the morning where we freshen up and had breakfast. At sharp 6AM we again took a bus towards "Rudraprayag" and we reached there before 11:30AM in the morning.

We hang around the place for some time and had our lunch before going ahead, around 12:30PM we again started our journey by taking a shared taxi to "Ukhimath" which took around 45 minz to reach Ukhimath and from Ukhimath we again took one more shared taxi towards "Sari" from where we have to trek for "Deoriya Tal". It is advisable to take a good amount of food supply because its too costly up there.Taking some chocolates , Almonds, peanuts, water and packed juices is a good option. We started the trek about 2:30PM and we reached up there in 2 hours where we saw some snow on the entry. We took a tent there which cost us around 700 Rs and the meals of the night is also not that much costly just 100 Rs per person. We have been there in January month so the temp in night is almost -13 degree but as we were 4 people in one tent so we don't feel that much.

Overnight stay in the camp at Deoria Tal was great but as we don't have much time so we woke up very early in the morning around 5:00AM and left the tent. We need to reach Chopta as early as possible because we don't want to stay in Chopta. We headed to Sari village from there we will go to Chopta by taxi. We are walking very slowly because its too dark and the trail is rocky. After some time we stopped at a point from where we were watching the sunrise which looks amazing and the feeling was very great at that moment we took some pics of that beautiful sunrise.

we reached to Sari around 6:30 from where we hire a taxi to Chopta which charge us 400 Rs. Our driver driving the car very slowly cause of the snow on the way. After few kilometers when we are taking U shape turn our car skid 360 degree which was very scary and we were stunt at that moment. We first get down from the car and put a small stone on front Tyre. After little push we were able to get the car back on the track. From there it took around half an hour and we reached to Chopta. There is no electricity in Chopta so we were not able to charge our camera battery. We spent some time there and hire some stick and boots.

After taking trekking stuff we started our trek from Chopta and we just move 10 steps when the forest officer came and stopped us we said what happen then he said that the trekking is stopped due to the snow fall but as we went there from delhi. We started the trek from other place and join the main trek in 15 minutes. The trek is well laid and easy but very steep so you will be tired very early so it is advisable to take some chocolates with you and at least two bottles of water per person. We reached to tungnath before 1:00 PM.

We capture some moments there and back on the track towards the chandrashila from tungnath to chandrashila most of track is snow covered (winters) and more steep. After all we reached the chandrashila before 2:00PM where we stay for some time and dont ask about the view it amazed me with 360 degree view of the mighty Himalayas After seen that view I forgot my all pain.

Then we returned to the Chopta by taking so many snow slides which were too enjoyable. After returning to Chopta we hire a taxi this time they charged us 1300 Rs cause its getting dark and we dont have any other option we took it.We reached to Ukhimath by 7:00PM there we book a hotel  which cost us around 400 Rs for the night.

On the next day morning we leave to Rudraprayag by a bus and before reaching rudraprayag we got a bus towards "Haridwar" so we changed the bus but we took the tickets for Rishikesh because want to have our dinner at "Chotiwala Restaurant" quite famous in Rishikesh. we reached at Rishikesh at 2:30 PM after getting down in rishikesh (Ram Jhula) one of our friend seen the bunch of guys going for rafting he asked me the cost for the rafting as I already  have been to Rishikesh many time I told him its is not that costly. Then we did rafting there and after rafting we had our dinner at "Chowtiwala" we left for delhi by 9:00PM bus.

Chandrashila is must visited place once in your life and our cost for this trip is just 3,200/- Rs per person and we were four people travelling. We hope you like our story and we always welcome all your suggestion.
